Sommelier Wine Awards 2018 - Golds Galore!

The 2018 Sommelier Wine Awards (SWA) results have been revealed and we're delighted to announce there are 119 winning wines from our portfolio! 

This includes 20 Gold medals, 32 Silver Medals and one special trophy:

Food Match Trophy

San Silvestro, Brumo, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Italy 2015
"A ‘great value and good all-rounder’, according to Cheese at Leadenhall’s Robert Mason, this took its place on the Gold List, offering ‘ripe red cherry notes, with some floral perfume and a raisin note too’." 

Gold Medal Winners

"An impressive Gold medal recipient, this had a ‘full, volcanic nose with hints of incense and floral notes’, according to Matteo Furlan of The Ritz London."

"Judges had nothing but praise for this Gold medallist. Royal Automobile Club’s Davide Dall’Amico was keen on its ‘fresh crushed black and Morello cherry with minty notes on the nose'."

"A ‘beautifully perfumed style, with violets and blackberries, meaty and fleshy on the palate,’ began team leader Andrea Briccarello as this took the Gold."
