Hallgarten Wines Announces Two New Argentinian Partners

Specialist wine importer, Hallgarten & Novum Wines, has unveiled two new additions to its Argentinian portfolio: El Enemigo, a partnership between award-winning winemaker Alejandro Virgil and Adrianna Catena; and Bodegas Salentein, renowned Uco Valley based producer. The two producers bolster Hallgarten Wines’ strong offering comprising of Matias Riccitelli, Zorzal and Bodega Andeluna.

 

Despite only being established in 2008, El Enemigo has already become one of the most acclaimed wineries in Argentina. A partnership between award-winning winemaker Alejandro Virgil and Adrianna Catena, the youngest daughter of Nicolas Catena, El Enemigo create premium, innovative and unique wines from cool, extreme high-altitude climate areas of Mendoza.

 

Adrianna Catena, founder of El Enemigo, commented: “We are very excited to be working with Hallgarten Wines to help El Enemigo grow in the UK. One of Tim Atkin’s First Growth wineries, Bodegas Salentein was founded in 1995 and looks to seamlessly combine wine, art and cuisine from their base in Uco Valley. Guided by renowned Chief Winemaker, José Galante, Bodegas Salentein is looking to create wines that dominate on the world stage.
