Hallgarten & Novum Wines’ expands its reach across the Mediterranean with Kuzubag Estate Winery
Specialist wine importer, Hallgarten & Novum Wines, has further expanded its Mediterranean portfolio with the addition of Turkish wine producer, Kuzubag Estate Winery. Founded in 2007 by father and daughter team, Salih Kuzu and Asli Kuzu, Kuzubag Estate Winery is based in Denizli in the Aegean wine region, where the family first planted the vineyards in their hometown of Çal.
The full range of wines from Kuzubag Estate Winery will be available exclusively to Hallgarten Wines’ customers in the hospitality and retail sectors.
Salih and Asli, along with winemaker and oenologist Semril Zorlu, set out with a goal of producing wines from indigenous Turkish varieties to honour the centuries-old winemaking heritage of the Denizli region, and to demonstrate the full potential of the land. Fast forward 13 years, they constructed a 3,000 square metre state-of-the-art winery in the heart of the estate and celebrated their first vintage in 2021. Of their vineyard sites, 34 hectares are certified organic, with the remaining 16 hectares currently in conversion to organic.

Having shown these wines at our recent Annual Tasting in January with an overwhelmingly positive response from our customers, we are confident that these will be a big hit in the trade.”
