Hallgarten achieves environmental ISO 14001 accreditation
Specialist wine importer Hallgarten & Novum Wines has achieved the ISO 14001 accreditation for its dedication to minimising its environmental impact.
ISO 14001 was first introduced in 1996 as a British Standard and requires organisations to have an environmental policy and action plan in place to manage their impact on the environment. Certified organisations are committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress is being maintained.
The independent assessment was conducted by the British Assessment Bureau, a leading Certification Body, with the auditor commenting on the team’s commitment and attention to detail in preparing the company’s environmental management system. Hallgarten was also praised for considering its environmental objectives in the design of its refurbished offices.
Hallgarten & Novum Wines, Managing Director, Andrew Bewes comments; “Achieving the ISO 14001 accreditation is a huge success for the business, underlining our commitment to environmental compliance and reducing waste. Our internal ISO team have been working hard over the last year to ensure we met all criteria at the recent audit.”
