Hallgarten Expands Team Across the Country

We are delighted to announce a significant investment in our people, adding five new sales team members and four to our head office team based in Capability Green, Luton. The new employees have increased the overall headcount in the business by close to 10% and join the company following strong sales in the second half of 2021 and a buoyant start to 2022.

 

Taking up sales roles in London, the New Forest, across central England and on the east side of Scotland, the new heads signal Hallgarten’s intention for the years ahead, as the company looks to reinforce its presence in the hospitality and independent retail sectors.

 

Operating in the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, and Hampshire areas, Harry Penhaul joins the team from High Street Kensington branch of Whole Foods Market. Nicola Henry joins the team to work in Edinburgh and the east of Scotland, having previously worked for Majestic Wholesale and Matthew Clark. Mike Stephenson joins the team to cover the New Forest and Dorset, previously working for Matthew Clark and before that in hospitality. Dan Schlesinger, joins Hallgarten’s London team, having previously worked with Fine & Rare Wines and Liberty Wines. Finally, Rob Turner joins the team in the East of England, from The Old Bridge, Huntingdon, where her trained under John Hoskins MW.

This investment starts with sales, the backbone of the Hallgarten business, and I have been very impressed by the calibre of the candidates to whom we were delighted to offer these exciting positions.”

 

Hallgarten has also added to its head office team to further support the business’ goals and an expanding customer base. Taking up the role of Marketing and Events Manager, Sarah Charlwood, joins the business from IPI Academy and holds a Diploma in Gastronomy, Wine and Management from Le Cordon Bleu in London.  Jake Donnelly, has also joined the Marketing team to work within the Graphic Design department to maintain and build upon the high standards of design and aesthetic that Hallgarten customers have come to expect.

 

Anca Cojocaru has joined Hallgarten’s Shipping team, helping the business to navigate the increasing complexity of global shipping requirements. Hannah Day joins the National Accounts support team, assisting in the management of Hallgarten’s multi-faceted accounts such as Ascot, Goodwood and Delaware North.
