The Drinks Business Awards 2025: Drinks Supplier and On-Trade Supplier of the Year
We are thrilled to have been recognised at The Drinks Business Awards 2025 as Drinks Company and On-Trade Supplier of the Year. This is a huge testament to the Hallgarten team, our suppliers, and customers for your continued hard work and dedication, without whom this would not have been possible.
Commenting on why we won the awards, the judges wrote:
On Trade Supplier of the Year
“Hallgarten & Novum Wines has seen 25% growth of its On Trade turnover in the last year, driven by new producers and new wines, as well as the launch of its Cellar Series in February and a successful annual tasting, up 27% on the year prior. The supplier’s entry for this year also highlighted its staff recruitment and training, DEI and environmental policies.
All of this added up to an entry to this year’s On Trade supplier award that was close to “faultless”, according to our judges. The panel were particularly impressed to see the extent to which Hallgarten & Novum continue to invest in new talent throughout the hospitality sector which “made all the difference” in the judges’ final decision.”

“With regards to this entry, the judges asked "what more could they have done?" One aspect of its entry which stood out were "some ambitious acquisitions in terms of hospitality", with new customers including the Royal Albert Hall, The Jockey Club, Ivy Collection, and Jason Atherton's The Social Company. Since April 2024, the company has opened 750 accounts (adding to more than 3,000 existing active accounts), reportedly generating additional annualised sales in excess of £25 million. The "creativity" of its Cellar Series, a curated selection of mature fine wines available to the hospitality sector from this February onwards, was also praised.”
