Delaware North appoints Hallgarten Wines as Official Wine Supplier
One of the largest privately-owned-and-operated hospitality and entertainment companies in the world, Delaware North, has appointed Hallgarten & Novum Wines to supply wines to its UK stadia contracts and travel locations. The three year deal, which encompasses five stadia – Wembley, Emirates, London Stadium, Pride Park and Coventry Building Society Arena - will see Hallgarten supply an expected 500,000 bottles to guests over the lifetime of the contract.
Hallgarten Wines Key Account Manager, Howard Corrigan, commented: “It has long been a goal of mine to showcase Hallgarten’s portfolio in UK stadia and Delaware North represents one of the finest hospitality companies in this sector. It is a privilege to be working alongside them at some of the country’s most iconic venues.”
Doug Tetley, Managing Director at Delaware North commented: “We are delighted to be working with Hallgarten Wines, its team and pouring a wide range of wines from its extensive portfolio. During our rigorous selection process we were very impressed with Hallgarten’s professional approach to being a partner and the quality of their products, which we know will be a huge success with our guests across the country.
The Delaware North teams will be pouring wines from Hallgarten’s award-winning portfolio throughout the entirety of the five stadia, including private dining, boxes and lounges. Hallgarten will also supply wines to the venues’ restaurants residencies, such as the Diamond Club, in the Emirates Stadium and the 120 Club at Wembley National Stadium.
Hallgarten Wines Managing Director, Andrew Bewes, commented: “Working alongside Delaware North is very exciting indeed, and further increases our presence with stadia and event caterers across the country. Following a turbulent past 18 months, where stadiums have been left empty, it is fantastic to see turnstiles open once again and to play a part in the return to full capacity.
The Hallgarten Wines training team will play a critical role in helping to build wine sales across all sites. The Delaware North teams will be trained on the wines they are pouring and how best to communicate these to their guests through Hallgarten’s bespoke WineSure training programme. In addition to the WineSure programme, the Hallgarten training team will also provide WSET training to individuals within Delaware up to WSET Level 3.
