Craggy Range Joins Hallgarten's New Zealand Portfolio
Specialist wine importer, Hallgarten & Novum Wines, has continued its portfolio expansion with the addition of Hawke's Bay's Craggy Range to its New Zealand range.
Jim Wilson, Portfolio Director at Hallgarten & Novum Wines, commented: “I am delighted to strengthen this area of our portfolio - the iconic Craggy Range represents some of New Zealand'slent and regional diversity of New Zealand’s rich winemaking offering, who embody persistent quality and refinement. Craggy Range joins our long-standing and award-winning partners Saint Clair, Lake Chalice and Rockburn, to form what we believe to be a compelling proposition for our customers."
Established in 1998, Craggy Range is a family-owned winery situated in the shadows of the spectacular Te Mata Peak in Hawke’s Bay. With an unrelenting focus on quality, Craggy Range produces a collection of iconic wines from their estate vineyards in Hawke’s Bay, Martinborough and Marlborough. When owners Terry and Mary Peabody first set out to start a winery, they looked down from Te Mata Peak onto the land where Craggy Range now stands, and they were clear that they wanted to create wines which truly evoked the unique landscapes and heritage of the region. Since then, Craggy Range has developed into an iconic New Zealand winery which has never lost sight of its sense of place, or its family ties. Heavily invested in social and environmental sustainability, they are certified by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand and have created initiatives such as the Children’s Christmas Foundation.
David T. Peabody, Executive Director at Craggy Range Vineyards, commented: “Craggy Range and my family are delighted to be working with Hallgarten & Novum Wines to distribute our wines in the United Kingdom. The UK is one of the most important destinations for our wines, and we are thrilled to begin the relationship with an incredible partner. Our family founded Craggy Range with the vision to sit alongside the great estates of the world, and we feel Hallgarten is uniquely positioned to continue delivering on that aspiration.”
