Ascot Racecourse extends wine supply deal with Hallgarten Wines by three years

Ascot Racecourse has today announced that it has extended its partnership with specialist wine importer, Hallgarten & Novum Wines, for a further three years, lengthening its relationship with the racecourse until 2027. The deal will see Hallgarten continue as the sole still wine supplier for all events in the racing calendar, as well as Official Wine Supplier to the highlight of the racing calendar, Royal Ascot.

Having first partnered in 2018, Hallgarten Wines has supplied over 750,000 bottles of wine across all enclosures, bars and restaurants, with over 120 different wines represented throughout the racecourse.

As part of the all-encompassing partnership, Hallgarten’s wine education team has trained over 5,500 front-of-house staff in its bespoke WineSure training programme and has submitted more than 200 team members through WSET levels 1 and 2.

Looking ahead to the next three years of the contract, Ascot will be enhancing its wine offering to the racecourse with an increased selection of fine wines available to its members and box holders, as well as continuing to offer exclusive events and activations throughout the racing calendar.

Felicity Barnard, Deputy CEO & Commercial Director at Ascot Racecourse, said:

“Extending our partnership with Hallgarten Wines reflects our commitment to providing top-quality experiences for our guests. Together, we'll continue to craft unforgettable experiences, where the finest wines complement the exhilarating atmosphere of Ascot, ensuring every moment is as exceptional as the races themselves.”

Hallgarten Managing Director, Andrew Bewes comments:

“We are delighted that Ascot Racecourse has extended its relationship with us for a further three years, allowing us to help further support and strengthen the premium hospitality offering at this iconic venue. Over the next three years my team will be fully focused on delivering continued growth for the venue as they attract the finest chefs and operators to work alongside them at Royal Ascot, and drive loyalty at race meetings.”

Ascot Racecourse’s landmark event, Royal Ascot 2024 boasts an incredible 11 Michelin Stars and three Michelin Green Stars as part of the five-day racing spectacle’s 'Chefs in Residence'. Elevating the already unforgettable Royal Ascot experience, the line-up features renowned Michelin-starred chefs, including Raymond Blanc OBE, Lisa Goodwin-Allen, Tom Shepherd and Simon Rogan MBE.

Hallgarten National Account Manager, Howard Corrigan, commented:

“I couldn’t be happier as we enter the sixth year of our partnership with Ascot Racecourse. Each year we have pushed the boundaries of what we can offer racegoers as we look to create even better synergies between wine and horse racing. Now, with three more years, we have the opportunity to create even more memorable experiences for racegoers to ensure Ascot remains the number one racecourse in the UK.”
