Weingut Weegmüller Named in Top 50 German Wines of 2016

Weingut Weegmüller’s Riesling ‘Der Elegante’ Mandelring Kabinett Trocken 2014 has been named one of Germany’s Top 50 wines of the year.

Following a blind tasting of more than 150 wines, a panel of leading wine experts included the wine in the 50 best of 2016.

In his column for the Sunday Times’ food and drink supplement The Dish, wine writer Will Lyons got very excited about Lismore Estate’s 2014 Viognier.

“Simply an incredible wine,” he wrote in a feature titled ‘South Africa Produces Must-buys for the Canny Connoisseur’.
