Great Reviews For Andeluna’s Pasionado Cuatro Cepas & Malbec

Two wines from the Andeluna stable have received impressive reviews and points from critic Stephen Tanzer.

He gave 91 points to the Pasionado Cuatro Cepas, 2012 and 90 points to the Pasionado Malbec, 2013 following recent tastings.

Here what he had to say.

Andeluna Pasionado Malbec, 2013
“Bright medium ruby. Blackberry, bitter chocolate and violet on the nose. A step up in texture and refinement from the Altitud Malbec, showing enticing floral lift to its dark berry flavours. Displays a firm backbone of acidity and tannins without any dryness or hardness. Lovely grain and restrained sweetness here. This nicely balanced wine boasts good concentration and sneaky length”.

Andeluna Pasionado Cuatro Cepas, 2012
“Good bright medium ruby. Blackberry, liquorice and a light peppery Cabernet Franc note on the nose. Dense, suave and fine-grained, conveying excellent sweetness and lift to its flavours of blackberry, liquorice, spices and violet. Finishes horizontal, suave tannins and lovely floral lift. A very nicely balanced, refined blend”.
