The producer: This 96-acre property located at the northern point of the Entre-deux-Mers in the small town of St. Germain du Puch is run by a passionate and dedicated husband and wife team of Jean-Louis and Estelle Roumage, who manage to blend respect for tradition with a modern outlook to vine management and winemaking techniques.
The wine: A blend of Sauvignon Gris, Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, the grapes are picked at full maturity before being cold soaked for eight hours. Cold stabilisation and yeast inoculation is carried out in tank before fermentation in new oak. The wine is bottled after 10 months aging.
Tasting note: This is a smooth, ripe wine bursting with white peach flavours and superb lemon freshness. It has concentrated apricot flavours on the palate which is kissed generously by spicy wood, finishing with a long toasty note.
