Carpineto and Carmen Star in Wine Spectator Top 100 2015
Two wines from the Hallgarten portfolio are featured in the Wine Spectator Top 100 2015, the results of which were announced last night.
Carpineto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva 2010 came in at number 26 in the list and Viña Carmen Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva 2012 at number 32.
The Tuscan red scored 93 points and was described as having “enticing aromas of sweet cherry, leather, spice and underbrush,” with a “hint of oak on the finish.”
The Carmen Cabernet from the Maipo valley, meanwhile, impressed with its “luscious flavours of tar, liquorice and dark plum,” and a “lip-smacking finish of dark chocolate and pepper.”
