Hallgarten Strengthens Sales & Brand Management Teams
Hallgarten has made several new appointments this year aimed at strengthening its sales and marketing teams.
Ailsa Grice and Christina Larsson join the regional Sales team, while Evangelia Tevekelidou and Margherita Tovo join the Brand Management team.
Ailsa Grice has a winemaking background and a degree in Viticulture and Oenology from Plumpton College. For the last 12 years, she has worked for a small organic Domaine in the Languedoc Roussillon and now joins the Sales Team in the West Midlands.
Christina Larsson joins the Sales Team from Bibendum, where she spent the last three years as an account manager in London. Prior to this, she worked as a sommelier in London and Paris. Christina will manage accounts in East and West Yorkshire.
Evangelia Tevekelidou, a highly qualified native Greek with a Masters in Media and Public Relations and a post graduate Diploma in Marketing, also has a huge passion for wine. Evangelia was introduced to Hallgarten by Head of Buying Steve Daniel at last year’s London Greek Wine Festival. She will manage Hallgarten’s Greek producers alongside some of the esoteric producers that make the company’s portfolio standout from the crowd.
Margherita Tovo joins the company from one of Hallgarten’s top London On-Trade customers, Spring, where she worked as a Sommelier. From Verona, Margherita moved from a career in law to follow her passion for wine. She will look after Hallgarten’s award-winning Italian portfolio.
Managing Director Andrew Bewes comments: “These are really important appointments for the business which further strengthen our sales and brand management teams. Ailsa and Christina bring knowledge and passion to our already established and successful sales department. Evangelia and Margherita’s qualifications - not to mention language skills - allow us to build upon on our supplier relationships and I’m delighted to welcome them to them to the Hallgarten family, and look forward to working with them to further enhance our service levels to all our customers.”
