Latest number of IWSC Awards announced

A raft of medals has been awarded to wines in our portfolio from Australia, New Zealand and Argentina, in the IWSC’s final medal announcement of the year. Included in the announcements were the 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Trophy, awarded to Saint Clair Family Estate’s barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc, two Gold Medals and seven Silver Medals!

Sauvignon Blanc Trophy & Gold Medal

95 points - Saint Clair Barrique Sauvignon Blanc 2016

“With beautiful richness and weight to the palate, this shows sweet apples and pears, plus hints of sweet spice and nuts. Beautiful toasty and mealy characters add richness, but there is also freshness throughout the long, complex and textured finish.”

Gold medal

95 points - Berton Vineyard, Reserve, Barossa, Shiraz 2017

“This is a very complex wine, with an aromatic nose displaying savoury spices, rich dark fruit notes including blackberries and ripe plums, a touch of ripe bell pepper and a bit of tar and white pepper powder. The palate has a rich fruity start. It is a medium-bodied wine with a great deal of balance and attractive grainy tannins. Developed spicy notes return on the finish.”
